Passion/hobby project for an online, creative-focused competition inspired by the Eurovision format.
Inspired by Poland’s 2025 win. A vibrant, interconnected brand pairing handmade charm with contemporary practice, and a motion system whose imperfect character channels the excitement of the format.
JDVision is one of the most colourful projects I’ve had the pleasure of working on over the years. Participants create their own Just Dance “mashups” to music from their country. Poland’s iconic win in 2025 was thanks to an irresistably charming retro theme with sunburst patterns and pastel colours, and in the spirit of the contest, I wanted 2026’s graphic system to feel wholly inspired by that winning mashup.

JDVision exists across many different social media platforms, and consistency is vital, especially when every single participant uploads their entry independently.
A thumbnail template was used across all entries, stemming from a much larger ecosystem of sharing-focused graphics from everything to announcing song choices to deadline information.

The main challenge of working on a show with this format is creating an interlocking system of production-ready graphics that can be used to communicate key information. Voting is core to the entire show, as the points received from all across the world decide the winner. This was my first project in full 4K.

JDVision is nothing without the countries that take part in it every year. This year was JDVision’s biggest year on record with 50+ participants spanning 28 teams; every country had to be accounted for in the design and given their time in the spotlight.

The Grand Final of the contest primarily consists of the awarding of said points. Cold hard data became a beautifully animated scoreboard, turning the often arduous process of live voting into a nail-biting experience that felt exciting and suspenseful at every single moment.
In an enhancement from 2025’s contest, each Jury’s points are shown seperately, before the main scoreboard animates in with a majestic staggered wipe. Then, all of the suspense is placed on the wait for that terrifying “12 points” announcement.
The scoreboard also had to be designed to effectively communicate the results of the Public Vote. Countries recede elegantly once they are finished receiving points, and high-scorers were given their own special titles to give live viewers a longer time to process the gravity of the result.
I also handle the design and upkeep of jdvision.dance, JDVision’s website. It displays the latest news, but more importantly allows visitors to explore the history of the contest. Each edition gets its own page containing all entries and, since 2025, a seperate voting breakdown page where Jurors’ rankings and Public Vote data can be viewed.
